My device still sees it.
Any other ideas.

So either you have a neighbor with the same ssid or what you are seeing is the profiles not the actual wireless networks.

Try connecting to it. If you can't then you've turned it off.

Maybe a different version of firmware, but when I go to the Basic Setting of Wireless Networks, it shows Network ON and no way to turn it off. Just below are two On/Off switches for the 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz radios. If I turn those off, is the wireless networking off?

Yes.
Turning off the radio turns off WIFI.
