Does anyone have two Fios accounts at the same address with two IP's from the same ONT box? Does Verizon install a switch and connect the two routers to it? I'm planning on getting a second FIOS account and would like to know what equipment they'll be bringing to I can plan ahead a little.
I thought the only way to do this was with a second cable run to the pole and a second ONT at my house, is this the case or can it be done with a single ONT box?
Yes, it can be done although VZ does not like to do it.
Traditionally VZ has installed a second fiber drop and second ONT. The second account needs to have a slightly different address.
However, it appears that VZ is now deploying a new ONT that supports multiple drops from a single fiber.
