Upgrade price discrepancy

Hi All,

I decided to take advantag of Quantum upgrade from 25mbps to 50 mbps couple of days ago ( http://www.verizon.com/home/MLP/quantum50.html?cmp=emc-spfiosf22113fce13001b). The addtional cost was supposed to be additional $10 / month after 1st month. But I later realized that by bill will actually go up by $15 /month. My contract is still month-to-month and the promotion did not require 2 year commitment.  i will get the advanced router for free. Did this happen any one. I discussed with couple of reps on chat but they directed to customer service phone. The customer service rep offered me $10 / month with 2 year commitment but could not explain why the bait and switch. Did this happen to any one else ?  I am thinking of cancelling the upgrade and then try again to understand exactly why it happend. So mad at not paying attention and hastily clicking the submit button.

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
