viss mac not secure

I subscribe to VISS but my computer says that I am not protected. This happens often have not had any help on the phone Verizon wants to switch me to McAfee they tell me its a billing issue. I have a Mac running OS X 10.9.5

When is the last time you updated your Verizon Internet Security Suite?
Also, you said your computer is saying it's not protected, is that message coming from your internet security advisor or is it generating in a random pop up?
