I guess it is easier now that when I had to do it in 2007, I am glad to hear it is just a quick support request!! Also be sure you are using a higher end router ie: Netgear 8000 or ASUS AC87u and use the DD-WRT or ASUS - Merlin WRT firmware.
Otherwise thank you guys for the updates and expanding my knowledge on the changing of the MoCA port to the Ethernet port on the ONT

I gave up on using the asus. The gateway seemed to give me better coverage and speed so selling my asus. It's been nothing but headaches. I will never again buy another asus routers. My old net gear seems to outperform this $279 router. Thank you all for your help. So I kept the ONT o Ethernet since eventually I will pick up the r8000 and try that instead.

Also what is the scoop on the new Netgear R8000? I have heard bits and pieces about it but did not know it was being released! I am a staunch believer in both Netgear and ASUS, I have 2 or 3 R6300 v2's just sitting in a box
