Westell 9100 dropping packets

Westell 9100 dropping packets

My connectivity and speed are fine, but I have noticed my Westell will occasionally drop packets when I am doing a traceroute - any ideas?


Random sampling:


traceroute to (, 64 hops max, 40 byte packets
 1  myrouter (  1.740 ms *  4.086 ms
 2 (  9.767 ms  8.565 ms  7.129 ms
 3 (  7.573 ms  8.126 ms  8.326 ms


and so on...


seems pretty common.

Today it seemed to be pretty bad, so I went hunting for updated firmware that might possibly address it.  But, on the Verizon firmware page for the 9100, I only see 1.02.04 (which is the version currently installed on my router.)
