Bizarre Issues With My DVR

I’m having two very weird but yet connected issues with my DVR. I’m not sure whether its time to replace the unit or if these issues can be corrected in settings.

1. The DVR will falsely report that it’s 100% full. When reset it will reveal that it’s actually no more than 50-60% full if that.

2. Going along with being 100% “Full.” it will refuse to record anything else until I manually clear space. For example, if I have a show set up to save until space is needed as opposed to save until I delete, it simply will not clear off the unsaved shows to make space but will leave it for me to do with this ultimatum where either I clear the space or nothing else will be recorded until I do.

This is all really somewhat of an annoyance as I have to reset the DVR and clear space manually several times within a couple of days.

1. This happens with some of the DVRs. The only fix I know of is to reboot the DVR. Menu---help-----inhome agent-----reboot stb.

2. This one seems to be pretty constant accross the board, probably an error in the code of the prgramming. As far as I know there are no fixes.

Whenever I try to record a program either as a series or in manual, in first run only or in not first run, the DVR tries to record the program on both the HD channel and the regular channel - and result is netiher program records.  The listing says both are there but with either 0 seconds or 1 second of recording time.

Have tried to reboot the box, reset the whole house, to no avail.  This is really annoying.   Am thinking to switch back to Comcast as much as that pains me.
