Just switched from Cox to Verizon Fios and have been very disappointed in the television offering. Cox has a service called contour that allows you to watch on your computer and other devices. And it appears you can watch anything your subscription includes as long as you are at home. Now that I have switched to Fios, I can no longer watch local channels on my home computer. It appears that no "live" programming is available.
After my contract is up, it looks like I will be returning to Cox.

You can watch on other devices (phones and tablets) using the FIOS TV app.
No PC support.
But you can use your FIOS login to watch contact from the providers websites.

Verizon indicates:
TV everywhere - Stream live TV, movies and more from your favorite networks and premiums channels. It’s all waiting for you in our online portal.
This really is not correct.

My fios login does not work on cbs.com - I get the message "Your TV Provider is not supported in this area, but you can sign up for All Access to watch now"
Live viewing of the CW network is not available on verizon, but other companies provide it.
If cox (and probably comcast) can offer "live" local channels via cox or comcast website and app, why can't verizon?
