Quick Question: I have the FIOS local service with a STD receiver. If I switch to a HD receiver will I get my local HD stations as well or do I have to pay extra for that?
Also do I have to have a technician come out to switch out my box or can Verizon send me a new box?
Thanks

The Local HD Channels are part of Essentials and should be included if you change to a HD STB.
Verizon will ship you out a new HD STB for you to install yourself. Make sure to also request a return box and label for the SD STB (Unless you are keeping it for another older TV).
When installing it to your new TV use an HDMI or Composite connection. There have been some reports of HDMI problems with certian televisions, so if you are having some starnge issues you may want to try using Component Cables.
Enjoy your new HDTV.
