I have just about had enough of the games with verizon constantly telling people that they are going to fix something and then it never gets addressed. For three years i and a lot of other people have been contacting verizon to get the guide corrected where the constant response is we are working on it where people are made to believe that things will be corrected but they not only do not get fixed they actually get even worse. It is not only your guide but it is also your widgets and your caller id on tv too. I see that i am not the only one in the country who has been experiencing these issues because there are other topics that have been created about the widgets and the caller id on tv by other customers who have yet to get their issues resolved. There are also old threads from customers that i see have had similar issues with the guide who got so fed up that they dropped the tv side of their triple play and went with satellite tv instead because of problems with the guide. Now for whatever reason my ticket and the tickets of other people regarding these issues do not get to the right department to finally get all of this resolved which only contributes to the frustration. The state that i live in has had an outage ticket for the guide for many months now but my individual tickets go back years. Since no one has been able to help me with this i took matters into my own hands and contacted your guide provider to tell them about many of the issues that exist with the guide to get things corrected through them but i have used that option too many times so now i can no longer do that anymore. I have also contacted the individual channels that have these issues to get things corrected where those updates have gone out for everyone who has fios for their tv service to get the new updates. Everyone for the most part has the same guide except for local sports channels, local news channels and pbs so when i get things corrected they get corrected for everyone in the country. Let me give you some examples of what is wrong so some of you can resolve those issues if you can. 1664 is completely wrong and nothing matches. 1620 is completely wrong and nothing matches. The tmz widget does not work and the baseball widget has been missing the chicago cubs all season long from the mlb nl central standings. Channel 11 in new york and new jersey by the way is pix 11 not the cw as you have it in your logo. Channel 9 is called my 9 not what you have for your logo. I have spoken to the engineers and the people who run those stations to confirm this where i also have their contact info if you need it. The contact info of many other channels on the guide that are wrong i also have because for whatever reason the people at verizon are not contacting the guide provider or the channels themselves to get things corrected. When people pay for a dvr service or they pay for the ultimate package that you have plus international programming at the very least they should get what they are paying for plus an accurate guide.

I'm not going to defend Verizon's guide, it's been wrong for years, however, two examples you gave have nothing wrong with them. WPIX channel 11 is part of a network called the CW, that's why that logo is there. Channel 9 is part of a network called My Network TV, they call themselves My9, but the network on the logo is right.

I agree that pix 11 is part of the cw but i spoke to the woman who is responsible for that channel along with the head engineer along with a publicist for not only channel 11 but she works for wgn chicago too who all confirmed for me that for the purposes of the people who are in new york and new jersey only it should be listed as pix 11. They said that if i could give them a specific email address or phone number to call rather than genereal ones to contact they could correct the error. I got the woman who is responsible for that network to send out the updates for last week's met game that was on a friday night from 7-10pm but the guide had 2 episodes of two and a half men from 7-8pm then nikita from 8-9pm and then supernatural from 9-10pm on the guide so if you wanted to tape the game it would have come out incorrectly. Yes the my network is what my 9 is a part of but it should say my 9 on the guide for people who are in new york and new jersey. If you google cw wikipedia you will see that channel 9 and channel 11 have not been called the cw since 2008. There is also another channel that currently is off the air channel 466 with no logo which was mega tv but is going to be al jazeera in english. I have confirmed this with the guide provider of verizon who told me that on their guide for verizon fios on their end the al jazeera in english logo is already there and that the lineup is all there but for the customers it will not be until verizon gives them the go ahead to do so once they have finalized the terms of their deal. The guide issue has been going on for at least five years after i googled the name of the verizon guide provider where people were complaining about mythbusters episodes back in 2007 that were not appearing accurately on the guide which was before i had the service but i guess people did not pursue as much as i have but i want what i am paying for which i think is only fair. If you google verizon's guide provider still sucks you will see those threads about how long this issues has been going on and that for some strange reason there seems to be no motivation to get things corrected as they continue to get worse and worse which is not only bad news for current customers but it is also bad news for future customers. To get the guide corrected would be a big win for not only verizon but the channels too along with current customers and future customers. There seems to be a real disconnect going on where tickets do not get to who they have to get to correct issues that will end up hurting verizon's bottom line because customers can only take so much before they have had enough. If you saw that recent story about a company winning a lawsuit against verizon then you know that the end could be near for fios in general and if you did not then google verizon active video to find out how a court decision could have an impact on your life pretty soon.
