Fox Soccer Plus not in HD?

So, I'm paying $15 per month for the Fox Soccer Plus channel (rolled over from Setanta) and the UEFA magazine is on, says 'Fox Soccer Plus HD' in the upper right corner, and yet - it is not in HD! What gives?

I must say, that I only anted up for Setanta for the rugby, most notably the Six Nation tournament. And now it appears that I am paying the same amount for a supposed HD channel that is not in HD, and it seems that they also won't be continuing coverage of the Six Nations (at least not according to their programming to date). So a double whammy, which means I am highly likely to cancel if I don't get an answer on the HD. Certainly can't justify $15 for no HD AND no Six Nations.

I didn't know FSC+ would be available in HD, but I guess that means it is. Verizon is still negotiating for FSC HD, and I would just about guarantee that negotiations for FSC+ HD are included. Since all negotiations are super secret right now, they aren't saying anything, but I feel confident about a very good outcome with this. Hopefully it's soon.

Spent over half an hour on the phone with Verizon this afternoon - and the answer I got from all four people that I talked to was some variation of 'I don't know'. So the final person said they'd put the issue forward to some other office, who should contact me within 24 hours. So, I'll give them that 24 hours to get back to me, and if I don't get the answer I want - or any answer at all - I'll be canceling tomorrow evening. No sense paying the $15 and only getting about half of the rugby content I wanted to get in the first place - all in lovely SD.

I know it's frustrating. I've been there. Nobody that answers the phone has any clue what is going on about programming decisions. Ask @fiostv on Twitter. He can't give any specific details while they are negotiating, but he did mention before that he is personally involved in meeting with Fox about this.

Verizon is really dropping the ball on this... I pay over $300 and i think they completely ignore these forums.... they dont give any news.. nothing. silence. The demand for FSC in HD is HUGE !!!!!!!  come on, Verizon, what is the freaking hold up??? you have Wealth Tv in HD (and other complete crap in HD.  I mean Fishing?  unreal).

  get rid of that and replace it with the worlds most popular sport.

Of course they ignore these forums. It says right at the top that this is a peer-to-peer forum. There is no official Verizon presence here at all. If you want offical Verizon, follow at the twitter or use the contact us section.

As for the FSC in HD,  THEY ARE UNDER NEGOCIATIONS FOR THE CHANNEL. That was the official response, and that is ALL they can say about it. As long as they are under negociations they cannot provide ANY further info. They are required to stay silent about it. They WANT to carry it but they have to get permission to do so. That is the hold up.

So it's now almost the year 2011 and I'm still watching EPL on FSC NOT in HD, come on now Verizon, lets go here.  Watching some matches on ESPN2 in HD sure is nice, wish I could do so on FSC.  I'm forking over around $300/month for internet, phone, TV and 2 cell phones so you have a monopoly on my household (and I have a feeling that many posting here are in the same situation).  And I'm sure Verizon monitors this in some way since it's on their own site/forum, at least that would be the smart thing to do.  When Fox and Cablevision were quarrelling at least there was specific details about the issues ($$$), so why can't we have that here?  FSC puts a little message at the bottom of the screen saying, "Not seeing this in HD?  Call your cable company".  I've done so, but to no effect...

I have FIOS but will not be buying TV until the soccer channels are in HD. I have several friends that changed back to Direct for that reason. {please keep your posts courteous} not seeing in HD

I, too, am forking over more than $700 monthly to verizon....all I want is my FSC and GOL in HD....WHEN????
