I have a two year triple play Extreme package. Today Hallmark Movie Channel was removed. Have had that channel for several years. I think it is unethical for Verizon to remove channels after they sign you up for two years. They say I can have the channel back if I pay more money. This is another time Verizon has not honored their promises.

It's very unfortunate (but very legal, it's cleverly worded into the agreements we all agree too), but ALL Cable/Satellite companies are doing things like that. Verizon are not the only ones. It's the greed of the channel providers (raising subscriber fees) and Cable/Satellite companies

There have been several post for the same issue. I dont think it was removed. I believe it was never part of Extreme. It is in Pirme and Ultimate. You can move either way to get the channel. They are allow to remove as well as add channels to your package. Keep an eye on your bill. lineup changes are on the bottom of the bill before they happen.

Bobbo hit it right on. All cable companies do it and its nothing new. Next time looking at the terms of service will be a good idea even if you dont read the whole thing because they are in fact honoring what they show you in the terms of service. Not their fault you didnt read it, but agreed to it.

Bull. IT WAS REMOVED. We've been WATCHING it since we signed up for Extreme over 18 months ago. They just PULLED IT, and REFUSE to answer WHY. It's unethical, it's unfair, and it just plain stinks.

You still arent getting it. All cable companies do this. This is not something that they just started doing. Its' been like this for many, many years. They dont have to give any explination of why it was removed. Most likely it was Hallmark wanting more money from Verizon to carry the channel. That is usually the case.
It's not unethical or unfair for them to do it when they put it right in front of your eyes that they can do this at anytime.
Next time dont sign a contract without reading it.

IF IT'S WORTH $20.00 A MONTH NOW TO ADD IT, WE MUST HAVE BEEN PAYING $20.00 A MONTH, SO JUST SHORT YOUR PAYMENT $20.00 LIKE I AM GOING TO DO. THEY SIGNED A CONTRACT. IF THEY VIOLATE THAT CONTRACT, YOU CAN TOO>!!!!!! I'M GOING TO DROP VERIZON THE DAY MY CONTRACT IS UP.

IT'S NOT HALLMARK THAT CAUSED IT. I CALLED TODAY AND THEY SWITCHED ME TO THE PACKAGE LOWER, $10.00 LESS THAN EXTREME, AND IT ISN'T PULLED FROM THAT PACKAGE. IT'S PLAIN OLD GREED.

You are jumping to a conclusion without knowing actual facts.
Its pretty simple, if you are that upset over 1 channel, switch providers. No one forces anyone to have cable or a specific provider anymore.

I asked Verizon WHY they have HMC in a higher tier and lower tier package but not in the Extreme package.
They did not answer the quetion but only suggested that I upgrade to Ultimate. They didn't even mention the other possibility of downgrading to a lower-price package. The channel isn't that important that I want to pay the $25 upgrade fee or even save a few bucks by downgrading my package and losing many other channels.
