For a communications company, Verizon certainly fouled up communicating on this.
I received a STB message, a recorded telephone message, and an email (weekly spotlight), all stating that they would open free access to HBO from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm for the prime time replay. No mention about free acesss to the live broadcast. Only a press release on Jan. 16 (which I posted above in this thread) mentioned the live broadcast (but no mention of the replay).
I tuned in to the live broadcast about 5 minutes late, and access was already open. HBO remained open through the programming that followed, but access was shut off approx. 10 minutes before the replay ended.
Don't know if Verizon's at fault, or perhaps HBO dictated (and changed) the open access time limits.
