Now the is odd. I wonder if now that I subscribed to the ultimate back in April, if they intend on putting the channels back in Extreme that exist in Prime HD.

What???? No one complaining that they didnt RAISE the price because they added more channels to the line up?? Where is the outrage???  There was nothing but indignant posts about them not lowering prices when they removed channels. Where is the same outrage for not increasing the price when they add channels.

Just pointing out the folly of all the previous arguments

And to point out the obvious, that all cable companies remove channels from time to time. Here is a perfect example. Direct TV just dropped G4 from their line up completely.

I have to throw in my two cents. I recently went to the local Verizon store simply to get a third STB and splitter for a den location. I idly asked the helpful and plucky attendant if I could snag a discount or two. She said no, but here's what we can do. I previously had the Old Extreme option with Movie Package (I like the Western channels). She switched me to the New Extreme with Movie Package which has some additional channels the older one didn't; upped my internet speed; I got the additional STB; declined to accept HBO for six months free - and all for ten dollars less than I had been previously paying! (Disclosure: I did have to accept two-year contract - BFD.) She also told me that since there had been such negative feedback from customers about deleting channels in the Extreme option, Verizon was offering some back that had been deleted - I had a choice on which ones, and was allowed to pick two.  I suspect that a little charm (and I have ample) goes a long way to improving one's negotiating success. All seriousness aside, I thought it quite motivating that Verizon had apparently heard the dissatisfaction about deleted channels, and was offering this olive branch. Perhaps all one has to do is ask.  Thank you.
