According to the message on my STB it is because Fox is discontinuing the channel. Here is a link to a news story about it:

I would also like to see CSN+ available in the mid-atlantic region.I would much rather see the Caps games they air instead of listening to the games on the radio.

my wife and i decided to leave comcast in favor of verizon and baby firsttv isn't avaible on this network.  baby first is an amazing wholesome channel for todders up to age 3.  my daughter has learned colors, shapes, number, etc from smiply watching the channel.

BBC has been available in HD since July of 2009 and NASA HD is a free broadcast by the US Government! Come on already Verizon!
