In what has to be the craziest thing that i have seen regarding verizon's guide and content channel 1 fios 1 in sd 501 in hd has been running content that is from comcast for most of the day where a lot of the sporting events that are on there are things that can only be seen if you have comcast for your provider not verizon. Right now there is a basketball game from the comcast network playing on there with the comcast logo in the bottom right hand corner and it is occasionally on the top right hand corner where there should normally be a verizon fios logo. Did i miss the news that comcast has bought verizon or has comcast found a way to mess with the fios feed or is this just another glitch with the network where verizon has yet to see it for themselves where customers have to point it out for them? While i am on here let me also mention that channel 1549 canal sur does not match at all where the schedule you have is antiquated where their actual schedule is on their website plus cnn espanol 1540 does not match along with some of the primetime shows that are on fox business during the week where a show called stossel is not appearing on there and instead what is listed is cavuto. 1620 is not matching either and there is a movie called thirst that will be on all month long starting tomorrow on channel 367 showime showcase at 12pm that is an american movie about people getting stranded who are dying of thirst and hunger but the guide indicates wrongly that it is a korean vampire movie.
In the Washington DC area, FiOS 1 also shows games that are shown on CSN+ (channel 575). CSN+ is carrying the CAA basketball tournament this weekend. The games originate from the Comcast Network.
Thank you for that piece of information jss9669. I found it to be odd that a major competitor of verizon fios had content on fios 1 and there have been customers who have been requesting that they add the comcast network to the guide which would be an odd addition to the fios guide. I'm not going to mark it as being resolved though because the other issues that i mentioned still exist. 1549 canal sur is a channel where almost everything that is on the guide is not there where right now the guide claims a news show from peru called cuarto poder should be there but what was there instead was a manny pacquiao fight which was followed by another program called reporte semanal. There is also a soccer show that is supposedly going to be on at 1am but it will not be there either. Tommorow at 9:30am there should be a show called hola from bolivia but what the guide has listed is el noticiero from venezuela. The list goes on and on about this one particular channel not having a correct schedule to tape off of where when a news show from venezuela was listed on the guide recently it turned out to be a reality show dancing contest from argentina .
I think around here it just has more to do with the fact that Comcast owns CSN than anything. We used to not have a dedicated channel for CSN+ so Verizon would put the CSN+ games on FiOS1. They do the same for MASN2 since we don't have a dedicated MASN2 channel, only they show the MASN2 games in HD.
Can't help you with Canal Sur though. I don't have that channel.
