We don't miss TWC, but we REALLY miss Weatherscan on Channel 49 with its live radar.  We used that several times a day.  It was very helpful when being outdoors to check if any bad weather was on the way.  Not everyone has a smart phone nor keeps his computer on 24/7.  When you're working outside, it isn't convenient to go into the house, climb the stairs to the computer, turn it on, and wait for it to boot up.  Weatherscan was SO convenient.  Would have been nice if Verizon could've negotiated a price with TWC to keep Weatherscan.

Agreed!!! Weatherscan is the only part of the Weather channel I miss.

Well here we are, many moons have passed and Verizon obviously has no intentions to return TWC.

And I have 2 whole days left in my contract...huh think think think

Well, the stay with us triple play deals, if I do the math are not deals at all.

If I want to retain or upgrade my current pkg the lowest 2 yr cost would be around $4800.00

HOLY @#@# batman! Well I guess if you break it down to say $50 for phone & $50 for Internet & $100 for TV it doesn't seem so bad. I know that others do pay more, with more channels & faster Internet etc.. But when you do a 24 month total WOW!

All this and still no TWC! Not to mention that other channels will be removed from my Extreme Pkg!

Well here we are living in New England and here it is, Hurricane Season and soon enough Winter Storm season.

With that being said, AccuWeather is utterly useless. As well as our local news reports. You have to catch it on-time or scour the net for their forecasts.

Nope not an option, our weather people are not as good as TWC nor do they do continuous live coverage of breaking weather locally or nation wide.

And not having real time access to nation wide weather when we have family living from the East coast to the West coast just doesn't seem right in today's day and age.

TWC does not have an option to watch Live via the net or even a subscription service, so that's not an option either!

And, politely reminding Verizon that their customers peace of mind during natural disasters and unsettling weather hasen't done any good.

So to that end, I'm not concerned with making a rash decision to upgrade my pkg by the OMG 2 days left or your price increases scare tactics. I don't do hard sales and my hard earned money spends just as good elsewhere. Verizon would do well to remember that we really do have a choice.

I'm more concerned with our family's safety here and across the states. I will have to look into viable alternatives in our area. There are so many others providers, all hoping to get a piece of that $$$ that Verizon will loose from me.

I wonder in reality how many more are jumping ship. Not just because of TWC but also the increasing prices and pulling of channels. Yet again, I will check the other offers and make my own decision based on my matrix. The I don't do hard sales goes for the other providers also!

So with all this, I decided to go visit my local FIOS store (see what they had to offer me) only to find out it's not there anymore. Still listed online as being there, but gone none the less. So, I traveled over 50 miles round trip to the other store that I knew about, yup their there. Then I found out that they moved the first one to a new location.....sigh running around across the state for nothing when they opened the new store closer to my home. Thanks for updating your web pages to reflect these changes Verizon, yet again a day late and a dollar short. Can I send you my travel expenses for fuel & time LOL

Come to find out they closed all the local FIOS stores (cost savings move) and combined them with the Verizon Wireless Cell stores....really! really! are you kidding me? Cost cutting measures that seem to limit our access to real people & cut more American jobs. Nice move, where does that cost savings go???? Don't be fooled into thinking they will pass it onto us. I then I googled the Verizon CEO pay for last year and again HOLY @#@# batman!

So, 2 days and counting tick tick tick...

Until us customers matter again whatever we post won't make any difference it just falls on deaf ears.

As customers, all we can do is express our unhappiness and if that doesn't work, vote with our wallet.  Really enjoyed FIOS and my full blown package for the past two years until they dropped TWC.  Would have gladly re-upped if TWC hadn't been dropped.  Didn't want to leave, but my full blown package was up and a decision had to be made.  In our area, there multiple cable companies and only two are real choices.  The only difference to me was one had The Weather Channel and one didn't. My vote was cast and for the next 2 years, I'll be with a competitor on their fulll blown package.  Hopefully, when the two years are up Verizon will have the Weather Channel again. Without it, it would be difficult to come back.  So happy to have TWC back and a new show for weather geeks like me.  PS: The only reason to watch Accuweather is Stef Davis.

FiOS Wins! The Weather Channel admits nobody was watching its garbage anymore. And we can thank FiOS in part for making its "rebranding" happen.

Not only that but they do not cover any weather North of New York and I live in New England. This is really a bad decision by Verizon. I have to get my weather from Weather.com because accuweather is about as accurate as a pigeon in backwards flight.

It's unfathomable that Verizon dropped the weather channel.  We over pay for hundreds of channels no one really watches, but TWC, something most people watch at some point, they drop.

Yet they keep WGN, even though not a single person watches it anymore since they stopped carrying the Cubs and all chicago sports teams.

I know verizon wants to drop FiOS all together and have even failed to meet their agreement with NYC....  So verizon, just screw everyone over already and force us back to time warner cable wit their awful picture quality and even higher prices.  I'm working up to cutting the cord...  These companies are driving customers away....  then they complain... what stupidity!!!1

I want the weather channel back like many do, but cheap Verizon will not listen to it's customers. They put on this cheap garbage in it's place. Weather will be getting bad soon and the weather channel was great to go to. It is all about money not what the customers want. VERIZON STINKS. Thanks Verizon for nothing. I will not forget you when it is time to renew. Best way to get back at you, is get rid of you, when the time comes. In your wallet.
