Does anyone know if Fios is going to pick up the new Time Warner Cable Sports Network come October 1, 2012? I really don't want to pay the termination fee in order to switch to Time Warner Cable just so I can catch the Laker games in Southern California. I've actually been pretty content with Fios and would hate to switch.

Seriously. I really hope the flood gates open now and every cable / sat provider wise up like Charter and gets a deal done before they start losing customers. Your turn FIOS, please get a deal done in the next few days. We want our Lakers!

Thank you..all you guys with the passion we all share with THE LAKERS! I'm glad you are there with the same thoughts as me in that I can't miss one minute of Laker basketball. I've been a fan of that team going back to 60's with Jerry & Elg. My life revolves around a Laker broadcast from Chickie Baby to Stu to Joe Meyer and now Billy Mac. Now to find out Verizon and all the other providers except for TWC don't have Laker Basketball. It's not even on the local So Cal station KCAL anymore. If you get the NBA package it's blackout. All the posts I've read show your passion for Lakers and what a team we have this year . I'm on Laker page on Facebook and see the I want my Laker site which is basically a TWC site to put your '2 cents" in. I want Verizon to get the Lakers very soon or else. Now I just got Fios in a bundle package with my phone and internet and left Direct for a better price by bundling. Service has been great but one thing that I still have not received....my $350 debit card for signing up. First I was told after 45 days then after the 60 day committment I was told and now it's been 6 months and no promise of debit card with agreement. So if no debit card then Verizon has not come through with "terms of agreement". I will quit Verizon and go to the first provider who puts TWC net on their channel lineup without early termination fee since Verizon(which I like hear that Verizon) has not given me my bonus debit card we agreed to. FIOS, we need some kind of an update on the new Laker network! Cancellation fee or not I'm switching if you don't get the Laker games. I like FIOS better then Time Warner cable but will not miss watching the Lakers!!!

The folks in our VHO 3 are working tirelessly toward launching TWC SportsNet tonight for all FiOS TV customers in Southern California. As another forum member mentioned, tonights game will not be on TWC SportsNet because it is nationally televised. However tomorrow night's game will be on the brand new station! Also as mentioned earlier in this thread, TWCS will be located on 78 (SD) and 578 (HD), conveniently next to the Fox Sports channels and smack dab in the middle of the sports channel section of the FiOS TV lineup. TWC Deportes will also be launching on channel 79. The channels will be available according to the list of TV packages below: TWCS SD vc 78 Premier (Legacy) Essentials FiOS TV Extreme (Legacy) La Conexion Prime HD Extreme HD Ultimate HD TWCS HD vc 578 Premier (Legacy) FiOS TV Extreme (Legacy) La Conexion Prime HD Extreme HD Ultimate HD TWC Deportes SD vc 79 Premier (Legacy) Essentials FiOS TV Extreme (Legacy) La Conexion Prime HD Extreme HD Ultimate HD All three are also going into Small Business Enhanced and Small Business Premier

Time is running out for me. Luckily my contract ran out in sept and i am specifically waiting to renew for this very reason. 100% i will switch to TW if they don't have it done. I know they will probably get it eventually but i am not going to wait or put up with that **bleep**. Get it done verizon. 10 other customers in my apartment building are gonna switch as well. Don' underestimate how many laker fans are out there..........nationwide. Get it done.

I just reupped my contract but still on my 30 days. I love Verizon FIOS been with them for years but I'm already looking into TWC. I hope Verizon and TWC come to an agreement sooner rather than later. Lakers All Day Everyday!!

I just went to the above link demanding that Verizon carry TWC Sports Net. I have a feeling that deals are being discussed but TWC is holding out until Verizon gets nervous that their customers might bail and will potentially pay more in fees to acquire the channel. It sucks for us the fans because we're powerless to do anything about it but sit and hope that they work something out. But as a die hard laker fan it really doesn't make the wait any easier when your team is being held hostage for ransom $$$ on the eve of quite possibly the biggest season we've had in quite a while. Thanks TWC and Verizon 😕 ps. it does feel good to commisserate with other laker fans though...

Don't read too far into that comment. "No plans" only means that a deal has not been reached yet. From what Verizon carries around the country, regional sports programming is extremely important to them. I simply cannot imagine Vz going without Lakers games this season. As long as they are negotiating, Verizon will say absolutely nothing, and customer service will continue to say there are no plans to carry it.

My wife is getting really nervous and upset that Verizon doesn't have TWC sports yet. She wants us to switch over to TWC if they don't get it soon and doesn't want to miss any Lakers games. Had TWC before and it was terrible (and expensive), so I really don't want to switch. But if it means no Lakers, then I have no choice!

I've been with Verizon for quite a few years now but if they don't get TWC Sports Net for my Lakers games, I will definitely switch. Get on the ball Verizon! Make your customers happy!

PLEASE ADD THE LAKERS' TIME WARNER CABLE SPORTSNET CHANNEL!!

The Lakers have a new exclusive television channel that will provide all of their broadcasts excluding national broadcasts on TNT, ABC and ESPN. The new channel is called Time Warner Cable SportsNet and will be launched on October 1st. The channel will carry ALL HOME AND AWAY GAMES except for the handful of nationally broadcast games and will be the ONLY channel to do so! KCAL-9 and FOXSPORTS WEST WILL NOT carry the games any longer; they lost their contract. It is IMPERATIVE that you add this channel before the Lakers pre-season begins in October...preferrably when the channel launches on October 1st!

TWC......give the other cable / sat providers a months free preview to your exclusive Lakers channel. Give the providers a better guage of just how many lakers fans WANT your channel.
