Carl, I could not agree with you more. I love my FIOS but it would be nice to be informed when a channel line-up change happens.

{please keep content of posts relevant}

Amen Carl. I guess they just figure we will stumble onto them someday. Looks like they would want to publicize to the nonFios users when they add a channel

Kathleen,

Are you going to provide an update as to when we can expect the channel?  I see on these forums that some markets are getting it today but you never responded from yesterday.  I live in RI and would like to know when we can expect the channel to go live?  Appreciate any info you can provide.

Inquiring minds from the Washington, DC area (Maryland) would like to know if they can see the FBR Open this weekend?  It is ONLY on the Golf Channel.

Hello All,

My apologies for the delay in response.  The Golf Channel in HD is targeted to return at the end of February.  You are correct, matcarl, the channel it will be on is 593.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Kathleen

Kathleen,

If that is the case why were some markets given the channel yesterday?  I believe as posted on this same forums are people in Oregon and Buffalo and elsewhere who got the Golf Channel HD as well as other new channels yesterday.  So will the rest of us wait another month for a channel that we had programming for and now do not?

Better late than never. I still wonder if the fact Comcast owns Golf Channel has anything to do with it? I know we get Comcast sports in HD so it can be done. Maybe a money matter?

It's ON... It's ON... It's ON!

...at least in Pittsburgh.

And it looks great.

Oh happy day!

The good news is that Channel 593 Golf HD appeared on my menu yesterday in Richmond,VA. The bad news is that when I clicked on it, it said I did not subscribe to this channel which is not true. Then after talking to 2 people at Verizon for 30 minutes, they were unable to come up with an answer. So now I have a work order for them to figure out what is happening.
