2 DVR questions

2 questions.  We are new FIOS customers.  o far so good with 2 questions.  One, is there any DVR that can record more than 2 programs at once like I believe AT&T U-Verse has.  Two, on DirectTV any event allowed you to record past the end time of the program---good for sports events.  Can't find that feature on our DVR--help!

1) No they do not have that yet...2 turners is the max

2) Once you have scheduled the program to record, go to the dvr menu and select view schedule. Highlight the show and the option is there to change start and end times.

Look forward to a point were you can have more than one DVR and they will talk to each other.

"If you have Home Media DVR, you will now be able to use multiple STBs as hubs to share recorded content within your home, and also schedule recordings to a DVR from any of the connected non-DVR boxes."

FiOS or Verizon itself doesn't offer more than two tuners, but more than two tuners will work on FiOS if they set up a Ceton Cable Card set up.

Ceton InfiniTV 4 Tuner Review

you are building your own DVR at that point rather than renting an already built quad tuner DVR from Verizon.

So you would pay 3.99 for the cable card lease (per month)

the cost of the ceton infinitv card (quad tuner)

and then whatever the cost of your PC and hard drives.
