Adding an WD external HD to a Cisco CHS-435 Problem

Hi,

I recently switched to FIOS TV from Direct TV and added a WD AV external HD that was recommended on the verizon web site. The installation went ok and I can see the external HD from the menu but now I cannot pause some of the live video on the TV. If I select a channel and pause it and then hit the last button to switch channels, when I return to the previous channel the TV is not paused. If I eject the External HD, then everything works ok. I called Verizon and got 2 answers. One answer is we have known about this problem for several months and we are working on it maybe first quarter of 2013.

The second answer is replace the Cisco boxes. Does anybody have this problem?
