After update/reboot loop, remote does not work

I suddenly started experiencing a strange reboot loop on one of my boxes. Verizon sent out a replacement. After initializing I get a picture and no reboots but now a number of remote buttons do not function the guide, menu and a slew of other buttons on the remote do nothing. Also when I hit info I get an ugly grey screen that only allows me to set parental control pin. My other boxes work fine in the same location. Tried resets, etc, no luck. Must be a botched update?

Just received another update and it appears to have resolved my issue.
