cable adapter

When I had cable in another apartment prior to moving upstairs to a larger unit I recall I had an adapter that went from the phone jack on the bedroom wall to a coax connector that allowed a cable run to the set top box. Is this possible or am I recalling incorrectly? I have a TV in our second bedroom but running a cable from the setup in the living room is not what I would prefer to do. I am looking to see if I can get ahold of said adapter, if such a thing exists.

Thanks in advance.

That is for fiber.

I have seen devices that are used for conversion of ethernet to coax.

Not sure how it would work for TV services though.

Are you sure it just wasnt a jack on the wall that the coax plugged in to?

There would be coax run within the wall down to a central splitter.

It wasn't a regular coax outlet. I thought the tech who hooked us up used a standard phone jack with a phone wire going to a small box that exited as a coax connector.
