Can I Lock the Fios Set-Top Box ?

Silly request for a silly reason - I was wondering if I can lock the Fios Set-Top Box such that the controls on the box themselves (channel up/down, etc.) cannot be used without a passcode of some sorts.  The reason why we ask - my 2 year old son won't stop changing the channels on it incessantly at times.   It sits on a TV stand underneatth the TV, but there is no other place to put it that is not within reach of my son.  We have a Motorola QIP7100.  thanks

There is no option to lock the box to lock these buttons, but it is a GREAT suggestion. That's a great idea! This would be a perfect candidate for the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion. If not, please add a new idea so your fellow community members can comment and vote on your suggestion. http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-Idea-Exchange/ct-p/ideaexchange . My brother screwed a small piece of plexiglass to the front of his TV stand that covered the buttons. This was the plexiglass couldn't be moved and the remote would still send the commands through it. Not sure if this is applicable in your situation, but worked great for my brothers kids.

Same problem. We solved it by using my wife's clear plastic cookbook stand to remove access to buttons.

Also make sure you turn on parental controls (whether you choice to block any channels or not) and have a pin set for puchases.  Otherwise you might fine some strange charges show up.
