DVR Freezes And Does Not Play Recording

I tried playing a recording through the DVR. When I select to play the recording, the DVR freezes for 10-15 seconds and boots me out of the menu and returns me to the TV channel I was watching. The DVR function worked fine prior to this. I tried turning off the set too box and also unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Is this the only recording that does this?

When you select it, how long does the recording say it is?

If longer than the 10-15 secs, start it up.

Immediately hit the nwext button and see if you can skip over the failing part.
