Wow....who is disappointed with Fios Extras Innings already....

for $169 we only get 1 channel for THE ONE HD game Fios broadcasts....and it appears that until hockey season is over in a couple of weeks, we have to share channels with Center Ice.  WE paid to watch baseball Fios...NOT HOCKEY!!!!

Last year when I had DirectTV they had both home and away broadcasts for most of the games, at least 3 or 4 HD games a night and a totally separate block of channels dedicated to Extra Innings...

really disappointing Verizon....lets hope you fix it before the 2nd week of baseball....

1 - Extra Innings and Center Ice have always shared channels from indemand. It makes sense, since there is very little overlap between the seasons. The NHL regular season has about a week left, and then CI will also show select games from the first two round of the playoffs. However, most 2nd round games (at least last year) were picked up nationally (US), so the number of channels uses for NHL games was 1.

2- The limitation of the home/away/HD is a by product of the deal with indemand. Apparently, VZ had to go to indemand to strike a carriage agreement, rather than the leagues directly. As long as VA gets their EI from indemand, you are going to get only 1 HD channel.

I do wish VZ was able to get the CI/EI/LP packages directly from the league, rather than InDemand. InDemand is a collaboration between the cable cos.
