I am traveling and I was trying to watch the hockey game on the app on my iphone. The app is telling me, "simply pair your device with your Fios tv box, etc." I have used the app before to watch tv when at home, but why can I not watch it now while on the road. Any way to get around this?
It’s interesting that nobody, not even a lead/admin commented here. I’m still running into this issue now in May of 2020. FIOS claims watch anywhere but fails to deliver. Seems illegal, if not surely unethical, to me.

You need to open the Fios app at home, with the device you take on the road to register it with your box.
Once done you should be able to watch through the Fios app on the road.
