Fios TV live streaming... slingplayer-esque?

Perhaps someone can point me in the direction of more information... if nothing else.

I read back in approximately August 2010 that Verizon Fios was developing technology to allow streaming of Live TV, content, your own stuff, VOD... to the iPad, PCs and other mobile devices.  Where to we stand with streaming Live TV to another PC or more specifically, a mobile device?

The article I read said something about it potentially being available early next year (this year), but haven't heard much about it yet.  This strikes me as a massive feature and something that would take time to develop, so I'm really just asking for updated info.

It will most likely come once FiOS switches over to an IP format. When will that be? Don't know.

I don't have an Android device yet, but will within a month... so that's the reason I'm asking.  Would love to be able to watch SOMETHING on it.

While Live TV at some point in the future would be cool, can I access any of these Fios TV Central channels on an Android?
