CHannels 400 (either blank or pixelates(, 402, 403, 404, 406, 412, 420, 422, 424. The screen then says channel not available, checking for an outage in my area and then comes back and says No Data. It's happening on both TV's. I have checked all of the wires and connections and they're all fine. This has started happening in the last couple of weeks.
I live in Morris Township, NJ. Is there an outage affecting these channels? Please advise since I am becoming very frustrated.
Thanks.

Check the SNR level. Turn to one of the channels having problem
menu>settings>systemInfo then press the blue info button on remote and the diagnostic will load. left side of main screen should say good(fair, poor or na is a signal problem) . short term should be 0.
This does not work on DCT700 boxes.
You may need to change the main splitter if all of your boxes have the same problem. Also try rebooting ONT if you havent already. Open coax line can cause issues as well.

It says:
SNR Level: Good
SNR Value: 34DB
Frequency: 699 MHZ
Short Term Error Count: 63535
Carrier Lock: True
And it's pixelating like mad. Unwatchable.
Any ideas?

Short term error count should be 0. Sine it is on both tv's, change the main splitter.

Happens in all markets, Verizon trying to get you to upgrade. I bet your internet is dropping intermittently as well.

Disagree, doesn't happen in all markets (at least I haven't seen enough people complaining).
How do you know he already doesn't have top tier?

Go beyond the "safe" Verizon Forum, and you will see how pervasive it is. I don't know if he has "top tier", since what is that? I had "top tier" when I subscribed, now they have new and improved, faster and better,... and for the low,... low.... price of...!!!!
How long have you worked for Verizon?

Wow! Don't hijack his tread. You know you can start your own with whatever topic you like.

Replaced the splitter with an expensive one, didn't help. By very carefully tightening all of the connections and a good deal of trial and error I ewas able to reduce the short term erros to 43942. It seems to be watchable so I'decided to leave well enough alone. Eventually I'll have Verizon come out and look at it.
