I have verizon fios and a Vizio 42" HD tv and if I connect the two using HDMI cables every few seconds or a couple times a minute the signal drops (screen goes black and audio stops) for probably about a second or two. Both the HDMI cables from verizon and a high speed set do the same thing. I can watch without problems using the standard coax but then can't enjoy the HD part. Does anybody else have the same problem or maybe a solution? Thank you.

The most information you can provide is useful when another customer tries to help.
What model of Verizon DVR or STB do you have?
What revision of img is loaded in the box? 1.8, 1.9 10.39, 1.9 10.40 etc..
In what area are you located?
The img # can be found under the settings and information screen.
If you want to use HDMI and not component the information requested above may help. I have two Vizio TVs HDMI, and have read about others, and do not have the issue. Component will provide the same quality picture. If the STB or hardware has not been rebooted, powered off then on at the power source, any recent img updates may not have completely loaded.
If you have 1.9 10.39, contact tech support and have them load 1.9 10.40 into the boxes. If not component cables may be the best route. But you may wish to contact them anyway to report the issue. http://www22.verizon.com/content/contactus/
