I am thinking about ordering FIOS. I currently have an HD compatible TV (about 6-7 years old). The TV has component hook-ups. If I order the HD Extreme Package and the HD Receiver will I be able to get true HD? Or will the HD channels look the same as the SD channels?
Thanks for your help.

Is your TV 1080i/p Then yes it will be HD. Component connections have the ability to get a Max picture of 1080p. Fios only supports TV up to 1080i. As do all Cable companies.

In looking at the owners manual from my TV the only thing I could find is the following:
The ColorStream HD1 and HD2 jacks can be used with Progressive (480p) and Interlace (480i, 1080i) scan systems.
