HDNET Movies, sound not matching the picture

Hi All,

Has anyone else noticed the soundtrack on HDNET Movies seems to be off a few seconds.  I have watched a couple movies over the last few days and the issue has persisted.  It is the only channel I have had the issue with.  Thanks

I've not noticed the problem but then I generally do not watch that channel.

You didnt say.. do you have a DVR or a non-DVR

If you have a DVR, there has been a thing I have noticed occasionally.  The DVR's buffer the signal. (we all know this) and if you listen to the same channel on a DVR and a non-dvr. the DVR will be about a second or two behind the non-dvr. makes for some interesting echo effects when multiple boxes are watching the same channel.

Well I've noticed that sometimes on my DVR, it acts like the picture/sound are trying to keep up with the other tv's. The impression I get is like a dog pulling on the leash trying to go faster than the leash will allow.

I've found that if I pause the pic on the DVR for about 10 seconds, and run using the fully buffered signal when ever I see that the sound and pic not match, it solves the problem. Doesnt happen often but I do it without even thinking now... Hope it helps someone

On another forum, it was noted that Verizon is now reprocessing the audio and video on the Hdnet channels.  That could be the source of the problem.

Why Verizon would jeopardize its reputation on A/V quality is beyond me, but I have not yet had a chance to compare before and after images.
