Home Media DVR

I called Verizon to order the Home Media DVR(QIP7200), and I was told by a customer service agent that it won't work with the standard HD boxes (6200 and 7100).  The programs recorded on the Home Media DVR cannot be viewed on the standard HD boxes.  I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to contact a technical person at Verizon. 

 

Is this correct? 

 

Is there an alternative?

With the current image of 1.6 you can stream HD & SD content to the HD Receiver, and SD content to the SD receiver. There is a issue with the HD streaming that should be fixed in the image 1.7 that should be out in the next few weeks. By the end of the month is the last ETA I had heard.

TimSykes  Is 100% correct everyone should be able to record HD content and view it on another HD box however you won't be able to view HD content on a Standard box in HD
