How does Google home / Harmony Hub work with FIOS?

I am getting ready to install Google Home and the Harmony Hub and I need the tech details on how Google Home would actually select channels on my FIOS TV setup. I am not clear on the mechanics of how it all works. I have a set top box so I can't figure if I tell Google Home "hey Google, tell Harmony to turn on channel 123" how it would work. What am I missing? Maybe I am getting too much in the weeds but I am technical (systems engineer) and trying to figure it all out.

Try going to harmony for support.

They should have instructions on how to use it to control cable box.
