How to display channel on my TV box?

I am a new Verizon customer, the tech had installed a TV box for me.

From the display at the front of the box, it shows time

I rather to have the channel being shown ( it is more useful to me )

How do I do that ?

Menu => Settings => Display change the setting to channel from time.

May not be quite the exact menu sequence (not able to actually try on my box right now) but should be something similar.
