Media Manager & Network Stored Media (NAS)

I found an earlier thread, but there was no answer to it.

I want to use an Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive 1TB (NAS) for media storage. It is DLNA compatible.

I just don't want to run a PC for the sake of storage anymore. This device would be great.

No chance of getting it to be seen by the Media Manager without the Verizon software?

No.

The Verizon DVRs do not support DLNA.

As a follow up...

If you want to play music and video downloads (in all formats, SD and HD) from your NAS, then you might look into something like the Popcorn Hour A110.  The Popcorn Hour will let play just about any SD or HD video under the sun, streamed from a NAS, on your TV. It will even play Blu-ray rips.
