Hi,

Are we able to use the e-sata on this box to connect an external hard drive??

Are we able to access the recorded DVR shows on the box and watch it on windows media player on a pc connected to the fios router?

Appreciate the help

Short answer is no.....

The e-sata port is currently disabled and the Verizon DVR's do not have the ability to have expanded recording capibilty. At this time. rumors are floting that it may come eventually or that Verizon may go with another manufacturer for the cable boxes. Only time will tell.

Same basic answer with the xfer to media player.  although if your computer does have a video capture card or something similar you can watch the cable on the computer just like hooking a vcr to it.
