Thanks (again) Tim. Sorry for cross-posting, but this is a concern I have with FiOS (and my wife says get it out of here if they can't get FiOS soon). I don't really want to disconnect, but it has to do with an exclusivity contract that Cablevision signed with MSNBC when it first started. Make some noise to Verizon, Cablevision and the MSNBC folks and hopefully everyone will come to the table. Cablevision's number is: 914.762.8600 for customer service. Speak up!!
I understand that. I personally don't watch it. But for people who do want it. I believe at the end of 2009 the contract comes up, and MSNBC will have the option to renew that contract. The best option is to contact MSNBC directly and tell they you would be opposed to that. Tell them you are now a Fios subscriber, and you watched their channel on cablevision, and sad to find out fios is not able to carry them. And that you wish to be able to view their channel on the Fios network. And that you would not be switching back to cablevision. If they think you will change back to be able to view them, they will have no motivation to end the exclusive deal.
