I have a 7216 hooked up with the expensive component cables (I also own Monoprice cables). After a lot of twisting and manipulating on the component cables, I have removed the delay when switching from SD to HD or the reverse. What I can't seem to get rid of is what I would describe as a "shudder" or "flicker" that occurs on both original programming and on playback. 98% of what I watch is in HD. The screen just has a momentary (1/2 second) distortion in one section of the screen (usually in the upper left quadrant). It occurs a couple of times an hour. Does anyone else have this problem or is anyone aware of a solution? I am in VOH13 and have a Sony Bravia XBR.
I would also like to say the picture quality on my set improved (my world only) when I switched form HDMI to component. I also run my signal through an audio receiver and then to the television. I have a Sony DVR that never has any problem with the picture on the same television.
