I am a new customer to Fios Triple Play switching from Directv. Am very disappointed in the fact that i received an old and refurbished DVR as opposed to new equipment. When I call support they told me I have to ask on line for a new DVR which I think I am entitled to and also have to pay $40.00 to upgrade. Why did I not receive this DVR initially and why do I have to pay as an "upgrade".

When we install new customers we hook up the equipment that was ordered. If someone requests a DVR, we install a DVR. We don't guarantee any specific model box. All boxes we offer are fully functional and if refurbished from another customer, they go through quality control to make sure they are functional. I apologize you didn't get the specific model you were looking for, but should you decide to upgrade to the higher capacity box, follow these instructions.

1. Sign In
2. Select the “FiOS TV” Tab
3. Select “Settings” sub-listing
4. Select “Set Top Boxes” from the drop down list
5. Select the “Go” button under “Want more from your FiOS DVR.”
