NHL Center Ice

When is the NHL Package coming? Born and raised a hockey fan. I am missing a lot of action.

Please help. Verizon says they know nothing, yet it is the channel lineup?

It is out right now.  You can find the information and pricing here in this thread:

Yes, it's great to have CI on FIOS.

Two things:

Is anyone other than me seeing 'channel unavailable' on the NHL channels? I rebooted the box with no satisfaction.

And on the channel on which they list the NHL games, you'll occasionally see some listed as HD, however they aren't shown in HD when you view the channel, anyone know what's up with this?

NHL CI HD games will start coming in within the next few weeks on channel 1489.  HD games are not available as of this specific moment.

I am a new subscriber (two days now) and to my surprise, Verizon does not carry the NHL Network.  Unfortunately for me this is a show-stopper and will have to go back to my cable provider to get the channel.  This is not the "Center Ice" package, but a 24-hour hockey content channel similar to the NFL Network.  Before I begin the process of cancellation and conversion back to my cable provider, do you (or anyone) know if the NHL Network will be carried on Verizon FIOS?

Great News!  I did send an email to the National Hockey League and received a similar response which states (in part):  "We have just officially finalized a deal to carry the NHL Network and NHL Center Ice on Verizon FiOS so they are rolling out both services over time and should be available to you shortly.

Thanks,

Jager,

Just as an FYI - the SD Channel will be on 87 - HD will be on 587.

Well I am a new subscriber to Verizon Fios HD, told that NHL Center Ice was included, turns out it isn't available if you are an HD subscriber. A technical glitch that Verizon appears to have little interest in correcting. They also don't seem to have any answer for why I can't get NHL Network even though it is part of the standard package of channels.

Defense-

NHL Center Ice is a standalone package. It's now available for $119 for the rest of the season.

NHL Network is available if you subscribe to the Extreme HD package.
