It is now the end of September 2012. This problem has been going on since the beginning of the year. What's the plan? If you have a fault in your equipment, why are we not receiving a rebate? The Resume Play used to work, so the new 'excuse' of it's only supposed to work for 10 minutes is rubbish. Your Customer Service reps, don't know anything. What exactly is their function? They can never answer a question. Seems to me, if you are not able to supply us with the service that was promised when we signed up, there needs to be some altering of the price we are paying for it. Alternatively, just fix the damned thing

Anthony_VZ: On March 22, 2012 you said that the software to repair this fault will be out "very soon". I don't understand what your concept of "very soon" is. You posted this in March and it is now September. Still there has been no remedy to this problem. When exactly will "very soon" take place?

I'm still experiencing this problem after months of frustration. I'd love to know if there are any plans to fix this.

I will join the long list of frustrated customers with this issue. I had a brief period where the on demand did resume from its last location, but today it is back to just restarting. So I know the technology is there, because it had absolutely worked before. After I am done watching the current show (again) I will test some other channels to see if there is any pattern. Right now I am watching an ABC show. It is also frustrating that the free channels such as ABC and NBC have the fast forward disabled, so I can;t even speed it up to get where I was last watching. At least some other channels you can FF if only at 2x speed. So if I record a show on my DVR I can blast through commercials, but if I need to use on demand I'm stuck. This is 2012 technology at its best? Both Verizon and Cablevision are too big to actually care about customers once they have hooked them.

Me too. Obviously Vz has no intention of "fixing" this. Rather it is by-design for some reason. For what is is worth, even thought the screen says it is "2X" FF speed, it really seems to be more like 4X or higher. Last night I had to use it after it timed out and it took about 10-15 minutes to get to a point one hour into a movie on HBO. With no commercials to force on us, I guess we are allowed more FF speed for movies.

I am also having the same issue! It is extremely frustrating to have to sit through a whole episode to get to the end and see the last 5 minutes of an hour long show! I pay for the privelage of watching a show on demand, and I should be able to fast forward through any show... I don't want to watch commercials, thats why I record the show then fast forward through them. The DVR feature doesn't work right either, it is supposed to record "the series", but if the programming time is changed because of a late football game or whatever, it doesn't record the show!

Ditto for me, unfortunately.
