QIP 6200 turning off

Message 1 of 3

My FIOS QIP 6200 STB shuts off then resets ...  only when I have my ONKYO reciever for surround sound on at the same time.  I am thinking it may be an overheating issue, but the two devices are not on top of each other.  Does anyone have problems with the QIP 6200 overheating?

the 6200 shouldnt have much of an overheating issue in general

However, Is the ONKYO hooked up by HDMI to the 6200?

There has been a previously discussed compatibiltiy issue with ONKYO and the Motorola STB's used by Verizon. If you are connected by HDMI, try running the coaxial audio or fiber audio to it instead and see if you have the same issue.

Thanks for your help.  FYI My Onkyo is pre HDMI / digital.  However, I have relocated the QIP away from the Onkyo receiver and it has not (fingers crossed) shut down.  I think too much heat was generated between the Onkyo and the STB.
