Quantum DVR bug

I have a bug to report on the new Quantum service/equipment.  It is reproducable under a specific set of conditions.

When viewing a recorded show that is *still in progress*, the 30 second skip option fails to work after several uses.

As an example, if I am currently viewing a show at the 5 minute mark (for example) of an hour long program that is still recording (but has 20 minutes left until it is done recording), I am able to use the 30 second skip a few times (maybe enough to get through one or two sets of commecials).  Once I've reached to 15-20 minute mark of the show (approximately), any attempts to use the 30 second skip actually brings be back to an earlier part of the recording (it seems to be at the mark of the last successful 30 second skip).  No matter how many times I press the 30 second skip buttom from this point on, I am brought back to the exact same spot of the recording.  It is particularly irritating if you try to use this button when nearing the end of a show and try to skip 30 seconds, and it brings you back to an earlier part of the show (again).

I've tried every troubleshooting step available to me (auto fixing DVR issues, rebooting, power-cycling, etc) with no change in status.

I should note that this problem does not occur if the show being viewed has completely finished recording- only problems are when still in progress.

Anyone else have this problem or know of a fix?

It's a known bug that came out with the most recent update. Lot of discussion about it in various threads. Have to assume they'll fix it with the next update (fingers crossed). In the meantime, the workaround is to just use FFWD. It works normally under this scenario.

I found the same problem.  A partial solution is to stop and resume play.  That works for a while. To me it is essential for football and baseball and if it is not fixed before football season, I will cancel my Quantum.

It doesn't have to be a show that is still in progress.  Happens to any recorded show. Fix for the bug seems to be taking an awfully long time.

I have yet to see this problem with the latest release.

Can you provide software version to verify you are on the latest release?
