Remote Code for Sony BDP-S570 blu-ray player

I have read some other forums that say that Verizon does not suport blu ray players for their remotes. Then, answer me this, Verizon. I tested out three blu-ray players before I found the one I liked best. All of the codes worked for those three other blu ray players. Now, for this one, it does not. I know that blu-ray players are different than DVD players in many aspects. But, isn't the infa-red technology the same for both?
