This morning, I noticed that our standard box no longer displays the time when it is shut off. When I took a closer look, I realized that the remote is only shutting off the TV rather than the TV and the box. In addition, the remote will only change channels and the volume. All other features no longer work. I have spent the last hour and a half trying to figure this out. I have followed the procedures that came with the remote to reset and I've followed the on-line procedures. Nothing seems to work. I'm a pretty sharp person but I've never had an issue like this with any remote. I've also unplugged the box to let it reset and that didn't work. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

When you channel and volume only, does that mean the stb channel or the TV channel? Do you have another STB in the house? If so try that remote with the non functional STB.
