Hello,
New convert from DirecTV to FiOS here and I'm curious...
When scheduling a season, there are options for First run, air time, duplicates, etc...but when there is a scheduling conflict AND the episode that's unable to record DOES have a second, later showing why doesn't the DVR automatically reschedule to the showing that has no conflict? My DirecTV HD DVR did this and I thought it was great, and looking at the series options on the FiOS HD DVR I would have thought this logic would exist here as well, but I'm either doing something wrong or I'm putting too much faith in the DVR.
Did I do the "right" thing by HAVING to turn on first run and repeats AND set air time to the later showing, which as a result also forced duplicates to be turned on? This just seems really wonky...

Did you get any answers? I tried changing to First Run and Repeats. When I did that, I got dupes recorded. So everytime an espisode of a Bravo reality show airs (which is like 40 times a week), my Fios DVR is recording it. So right now, I'm manually trying to find the conflicts and reschedule them. This is making me miss my Tivo....

I beleive there is also an option for dupes Y/N.
But I also believe it will only skip dupes if that episode is currently recorded.
If you watch and delete, it can be recorded again.
