SD-STB & MR-DVR

I can't seem to find an answer in the forum...If already answer please excuse...

I was under the impression that I could watch HD shows recorded on my MR-DVR on my SD-STB, it would down convert them for viewing....

When I try... It states HD is not available on this STB...

Was I wrong?....Also I did a self-test on the SD-STB and the DNS portion FAILED...Is that a problem/issue?

Please advise .....Thanks...

FYI.....My boxes states 1.6.0  firmware....I see 1.6.1 referenced in the forum.. If 1.6.0 is not up to date...How can I get the most current firmware update...

You will not be able to view HD recordings on your SD STBS and there is no plan for that to be available anytime soon.

I just did a search via MSN and it directed me to Verizon Web Site and their Multi-Room DVR site...And I meet their requirements..

  What are the Home Media DVR system requirements?   DVR requirements

• One of the following:
  
  • Model 7216 HD DVR
  • Model 6416 HD DVR
• One or more of the following connected to TVs in other rooms:
  
  • Model 7100 HD Set-Top Box
  • Model 6200 HD Set-Top Box
  • Model 2500 SD Set-Top Box

I have Model 6416 as my MR-DVR and the SD-STB is the Model 2500 STB.

So It should be working....hhhhhmmmmm?

Does anyone in the forum might know what the problem might be or should I spend a few hours on the phone trying to get help via CSR?

Found answer via trouble shooting MR-DVR.....it does explain that it can only stream SD recorded shows to the SD-STB....
