Are shows automatically deleted from DVR after certain time period?
No. They will remain until the DVR determines that it needs the space for newer recordings. I have an HDNET test pattern that has been on my DVR for nearly 2 years. If there is something that you want preserved then you should mark it as SAVE UNTIL I DELETE. The default is SAVE UNTIL SPACE IS NEEDED. To do this go to the DVR menu, select the recording and scroll through the option menu that comes up until you find the keep selection and press OK with it highlighted. This will put a SHEILD emblem in front of the recording indicating it is protected.
