Stand-by Mode in 1.6.2

Even though the HD DVR is "off", the annoying stand-by message still looms. This is a problem when one uses the presence of a video signal to trigger a receiver to turn on and off. My TV does not have a video out, so I'm forced to use the video out from the HD DVR, which obviously isn't helping me. Anyone else have this issue? Can it be defeated/bypassed?

It is discussed in that thread -- its a part of the 1.6.2 upgrade.  Unfortunately it always sends that message when the by is turned 'off' -- though technically they are never off so Verizon can shoot updates to the equipment at night.  I have yet to hear of anything to bypass it or disable it.
